Rude release 3.8 makes testing easier

Aiming for ease

It’s summertime and the living is easy, as in the old classic song. Network testing may not count as easy living as such, however, our summer time release 3.8 of the Rude IP impairment emulator is all focused on easiness.

This release lets the user avoid detailed impairment settings by using ready profiles instead. We’ve added ready traffic profiles for a number or typical scenarios in 3G and 4G networks, and according to ITU-T G.1050 specifications, that have settings ready for mobile and stationary users in a normal or congested network. The screenshot below shows the available profiles to choose from.

Reporting the results will be less of a burden from now on. The release has added a test report that will automatically generate a file containing information about the test, statistics of the traffic used and the diagnostics.

With these upgrades, we wish our customers relaxing summer!
